During the making of GABAN, Sunil utt got so impressed with Raaj Grover that after sudden and in quick succession deaths of Balraj Sahni & Krishan Chopra, he hooked him to look after his banner AJANTA ARTS – Publicity, Production, Assisting the Director - co - ordinating with writers and marketing of films - 1) YAADEIN 2) MAN KA MEET 3) RESHMA AUR SHERA 4) NEHLE PE DEHLA was all that he took care of. And also he was the man in command of AJANTA ARTS WELFARE TROUPE that went about entertaining JAWANS of the Indian Army in Kashmir &

there in Bangladesh too during 1965 and 1971 wars against Pakistan. All said and done, he has been till date close to the entire Dutt Family. Raaj Grover had (even now has) a jeweler’s eye as far as talent in some of the newcomers were and is concerned – who later, correct as per Grover’s judgement, became top celebrities in this show business.

By this time, apart from all this experience of film making, he had earned so much goodwill of top celebrities and the media in general that he, with the blessings of NARGISJI & SUNIL DUTT, branched off on his own as an independent Producer.

During post production work of THIKANA, Grover had a dispute with his partners over the sale of the film and keeping his goodwill & good reputation in mind, he gave away the rights of the said film to his partners at a price as Arbitrated and decided by PRAKASH MEHRA.

Raaj Grover’s financer GOPAL DAS HANSRAJANI, back there in Bombay, had put it on record saying that his dealings with them was always clear and fair and they had no problems with him and his projects. Further, he added that his tremendous goodwill that he commands in the motion picture industry of India is proof enough for his being honest, hardworking and a very pleasant personality that he carries on his shoulders. Financer GOPAL DAS had been financing films for PRAKASH MEHRA, RAMANAND SAGAR, J OM PRAKASH, MANOJ KUMAR and RAAJ GROVER.
